Description

Some more Soulcalibur V creations for The Crossover Game, representing a story arc where my Brawl Legends manga characters meet the canon Naruto universe. I specify the term "Brawl Legends Manga" or "Brawl Legends Comic" because I have rebooted the entire series to remove ties to licensed characters, and refer to the new universe as "Brawl Legends Game". However, the Comic and Manga universes still exist.
WARNING: DO NOT READ THIS DESCRIPTION IF YOU HAVE NOT READ THE NARUTO MANGA FROM CHAPTER 610-NARUTO GAIDEN 10 OR WATCHED THE ANIME BEYOND SHIPPUDEN EPISODE 363!! IT CONTAINS SPOILERS, CANON SPOILERS!!
Note: These are estimates. I believe the chapter and episode I mentioned line up with the Ten-Tails' revival.
Anyway, I'll name the characters from left to right:

Row 1:
1. Madara Uchiha: Brawl Legends version, redesigned to further resemble his canon counterpart. He is not a reanimated shinobi in this universe. During the war, he used a Forbidden Jutsu to swap his soul with Obito's, trapping Obito in his reanimated corpse while he took control of Obito's living body. He then pulled a Kisame and tricked the Shinobi Alliance into capturing a Zetsu clone disguised as Obito while he escaped the battlefield. Over time, he transformed Obito's body to resemble his own, although he retained Obito's wrinkled skin and injuries. Obito's right Sharingan eye later morphed into a form resembling Madara's, but retained his Kamui ability. Madara's left eye was just a spare Sharingan he had stored away within Obito's hideout. He gave his left Rinnegan to Menma, his new pawn, and his right Rinnegan was destroyed before Black Zetsu could recover it, as the Fallen Lee burned Nagato's body after Obito recovered the left eye.
2. Kaguya Otsusuki: Tried to get her as close to her Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 artwork as possible, although there isn't a hairstyle long enough to truly do her justice, but I'm pleased with how she turned out. Kaguya will make her way into Brawl Legends during The Crossover Game. Whether she is the canon Kaguya yet again unsealed or a Kaguya original to the Brawl Legends dimension has yet to be decided.
3. Naruto Uzumaki: The canon version of Naruto Uzumaki, as an adult. His timeline is placed at a year after the events of Boruto: The Movie. Many people assume he may die in the movie, but for the sake of the crossover, he won't. The Brawl Legends counterpart to Naruto has already died, so the canon Naruto lives in order to fill his spot in the upcoming battle.
4. Naruto (Six Paths Sage Mode): My design of what adult Naruto looks like in his Six Paths Sage Mode.
5. Sasuke Uchiha: The canon version of Sasuke Uchiha, as an adult. Like the canon version of Naruto, he arrives to take his deceased counterpart's place in the upcoming battle.

Row 2:
1. Sarada Uchiha: Sasuke's daughter from the canon Naruto universe. She and Boruto serve as main protagonists at the start of the crossover, when they are thrown into a Genjutsu world cast by the Brawl Legends version of Menma, several months before the actual crossover takes place.
2. Boruto Uzumaki: Naruto's son from the canon Naruto universe. Alongside Sarada, he is thrown into a Genjutsu cast by Menma, several months before the canon and Brawl Legends universes cross over with each other. They later join their fathers in a major battle nearly a year later.
3. Boruto (Tenseigan Sage Mode): Boruto during the crossover a year after his exploits in the Genjutsu World. Boruto eventually awakens the Tenseigan after training at one of Orochimaru's hideouts. During a major battle, Naruto is impressed by his son's growth and offers to bump fists with him. This act transfers some of Naruto's Six Paths chakra to his son, allowing Boruto to awaken an all-new transformation dubbed Tenseigan Sage Mode.
4. Minato Uzumaki (Teen): In the Brawl Legends universe, Naruto and Sakura have a son together, named Minato, after the Fourth Hokage. This Minato represents his younger incarnation from "Season Two" of the Brawl Legends comic, the New Akatsuki saga. He is 13 years old and is a student of Lee Hatake. Unlike Boruto Uzumaki, Minato inherited some of the Nine-Tails' chakra when he was born. He only possesses enough chakra to transform as far as three tails, although Naruto suppresses Minato's rage before it reaches that point.
5. Minato Uzumaki (Young Adult): Minato during the crossover, now age 21. After the death of Naruto when he was 15, Minato became the new Jinchuriki of the Nine-Tails. He later began training with his mother, Sakura, while Lee Hatake dealt with Hokage duties. As he aged, he learned both the Creation Rebirth Jutsu and the Sage Mode of Mount Myoboku. He also managed to befriend the Nine-Tailed Fox during his training, awakening a different Nine-Tails Chakra Mode that neither the canon versions of Naruto nor Minato's namesake had never shown.

Row 3:
1. Fallen Lee Hatake: The alternate future incarnation of Lee Hatake from the original Brawl Legends comics. He has gone through multiple redesigns throughout the years, although this one represents his final, new design. He only appears in flashbacks (and as one of Lee Hatake's moveset variations).
2. Lee Hatake (Prime Timeline): The mainstream version of Lee Hatake. In the current Brawl Legends universe, he is the younger brother of Kakashi Hatake, and the son of Sakumo Hatake and an Uchiha woman named Shura. (To better fit the timeline, in the reboot of the manga, he'll have a different father. Despite a striking resemblance to Kakashi, he'll actually be an adopted Uchiha in the reboot). After defeating his future self and adverting a crisis, Lee was offered the position of the Seventh Hokage at the young age of 16, taking Kakashi's spot. However, he was modest enough to turn over the position to Naruto, stating that he'd take on the responsibility when he was ready. Several years later, he challenged Naruto to a sparring match and after emerging victorious, he finally took on the role of the Eighth Hokage. After taking down a New Akatsuki following the defeat of the Crescent Brothers and a reborn Madara Uchiha, Lee had left on a mission with members of his personal team, only to return to find Konoha under attack by a masked man. Kakashi had fallen defending the village while Naruto was nowhere to be seen. He later arrived to the shocking sight of Naruto being defeated by the masked man. The Nine-Tails had been extracted and Lee called on the power of his Susano'o to restrain it while his best medic did her best to revive Naruto. However, Naruto shortly died, leaving Lee with the only option of sealing the Nine-Tails inside of Minato, Naruto's son. However, before restraining the Nine-Tails, Lee sent a couple Shadow Clones to pursue the masked man. The clones were quickly incapacitated. Although, before the final clone was destroyed, the masked man revealed his name to be Menma. After discovering this, Lee vowed to track down Menma at all costs. He temporarily disbanded his team, assigning them different posts in order to keep an eye out for Menma. Lee later tracks him down a few years later, and during the clash, he is met by two familiar faces....
3. Rayne Hatake (nee Sabakuto): Originally, she was Gaara's daughter, but since the timeline wouldn't line up correctly and introducing the idea that she was sent into the past seemed a bit too goofy, she has now been rewritten as Gaara's cousin, the daughter of the Fourth Hokage's sister. (who remains unnamed at this point). Rayne was Lee's childhood friend, later became his girlfriend and a member of Team Hatake, and is now Lee's wife and mother of two (originally a mother of three, but her second son has been retconned). Like Gaara, she has the ability to manipulate sand, and like Temari, she is skilled with Wind Style chakra. "Sabakuto" is a name I created, derived from Gaara's Japanese name, "Sabaku no Gaara".
4. Jin Hatake: Lee and Rayne's son. Like Rayne, he can control sand, and like his father, he has awakened the Sharingan. Jin also becomes the new Jinchuriki of Shukaku, making Konoha the new village to host more than one Jinchuriki.
5. Aoi Hatake: Lee and Rayne's daughter. She is mostly like her father, skilled in using her Sharingan. As with anyone born of Uchiha blood, she is skilled with Fire Style Ninjutsu. Coupled with the Wind nature inherited from her mother, this makes her a powerful kunoichi.

Note: It isn't shown in the screenshots depicted, but Lee's family has embraced his Uchiha heritage and as such, bear the Uchiha crest on their clothing. Rayne and Lee do not have the crest in-game, due to SCV's sticker limit, although it is clearly visible on the back of Jin and Aoi's shirts.

Row 4:
1. Jon Kurosaki: I've yet to rewrite this character for the Naruto universe, but in the prime Brawl Legends universe, Jon is the younger half-brother of Ichigo Kurosaki from Bleach. He is the son of Isshin Kurosaki and a Kunoichi woman. (I don't remember her name). After a battle between my character, Draco Tenshi, and Ichigo Kurosaki, Ichigo was defeated. However, before he died, Ichigo transferred his shinigami powers (including Zangetsu and his inner Hollow) to Jon. Spared by Tenshi solely for the promise of a sporting rematch, Jon vowed to get his revenge. However, he was later assigned to guard a prophecy and to seek the Chosen One. The Chosen One turned out to be Lee Hatake, and after freeing Lee from a Genjutsu cast by Fallen Lee, Jon and Lee soon become close friends. Jon took up residence in Konoha, eventually cutting his ties with the Soul Society to become an Anbu for the village. During a trip to Karakura Town, he met up with a girl named Akari Inoue, who later became his wife. They have a son named Ichiro. Jon still lives in Kohona, although after the death of Naruto, he takes routine trips to Karakura Town and checks into the Soul Society in search of Menma.
2. Akari Kurosaki (nee Inoue): Jon's wife and mother of Ichiro Kurosaki. Akari was originally Orihime's daughter, although now she has been retconned into her cousin (I know, I overuse "cousins", don't I?). Her Naruto reboot counterpart has yet to be rewritten, like Jon's. She originally lived in Karakura Town, and like Orihime, was shown to be able to heal injuries with her Spirit energy. However, it is later revealed that she actually possesses chakra, and joins Jon Kurosaki after Team Hatake arrived in Karakura Town, moving to Konoha with him. She is never seen during the New Akatsuki saga, however, she was the medic Lee accompanied in his efforts to save Naruto's life two years later. She stays close to Sakura's home in order to keep watch over the next generation of Shinobi, and to have another medic ready in case Menma attacks again. Her design was inspired by Orihime's Arrancar Arc outfit, but takes on the color scheme of a shinigami. I was mainly just experimenting with some of the DLC costumes in Soulcalibur V, and this is the design I liked.
3. Rig Hyuga: Rig is one of Lee's best friends, having befriended him in their Ninja Academy days. He is Neji's nephew, the son of an original older sister to Neji, named Taki Hyuga. Prior to the events of the original Naruto series, Taki moved to the Hidden Mist village where she soon married a native Jonin, later giving birth to Rig a year later. Taki and her husband were members of the Shinobi Alliance during the war, and fell in battle. When the war reached its climax, Rig moved to Konoha to live with Neji (Neji survived the war). He becomes a key member of Lee's team during his time in Konoha, excelling in Water-nature techniques, inventing snow-based ninjutsu, and mastering the Chidori. Following Menma's attack on Konoha, Rig was assigned to return to the Hidden Mist Village since he knew the most about it. Having spent 5 years in the village, Rig eventually succeeded Chojuro and became the Seventh Mizukage.
4. Nero Crescent: In the original draft, Nero and his brother were descended from Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII. However, in the retcon, they are descended from a Sephiroth-esque warrior named Jenova Crescent, their grandfather who held a feud with Raizo Uchiha, Lee Hatake's grandfather. This carries over into to reboot, however, in the prime Brawl Legends timeline, Nero and Hirudo are the son of a currently unnamed Saiyan survivor and the daughter of Jenova. After hearing of Jenova's defeat at the hands of Raizo (or Sephiroth's defeat at the hands of Madara in the original draft), Nero becomes obsessed with revenge. Taking the sword once wielded by Jenova (or Sephiroth), Nero left home in order to train himself to become strong enough to defeat any remaining Uchiha in hopes of avenging his grandfather. He eventually meets with Vegeta after learning of his Saiyan bloodline. Despite Vegeta's hesitancy in taking on a student, he eventually succumbs to the boy's wishes and teaches him, astonished that the young Saiyan was able to awaken his Super Saiyan potential. A few years later, Nero reunites with his brother, Hirudo, following the death of his mother. Together, the two founded their own community, which Nero dubbed New Jenova, in memory of his grandfather. Several years later, Nero learns of an Uchiha survivor, Lee Hatake, and makes his way to Konoha to defeat him. However, during the struggle, a new Akatsuki rose to power and attacked Konoha. Nero soon discovered the shocking truth that his brother, Hirudo, had joined them. Betrayed by his brother, Nero was beaten and broken. Despite the animosity displayed toward him, Lee sympathized with Nero, offering to heal his wounds. Nero initially shrugged off Lee's hospitality, but soon learned he could trust him, and ended the Uchiha/Crescent feud by befriending Lee. Although Lee offered Nero a place at home in Konoha, the Saiyan turned him down, determined to return to New Jenova to mourn his brother. His current role in the Naruto Canon/Brawl Legends crossover is unknown at this point.
5. Hirudo Crescent: Nero's younger brother, Hirudo stayed with his mother after his brother stormed out of their home in search of vengeance. As his mother contracted an incurable illness, Hirudo blamed Nero's obsession with vegenaces and hasty departure as the cause of their mother's declining health. After she died, Hirudo sought to track down his brother, hoping that the news of their mother's death would make him come to his senses. However, Hirudo suspected that his brother would blindly place the blame on the Uchiha, so he set off in search of a master to help him hone his own abilities in order to bring Nero to his senses. He eventually came under the tutelage of Son Goku, learning the traditional Kamehameha, and even pushed as far as learning the Kaioken and Spirit Bomb, two techniques that Goku had never previously passed on to any of his students. After reuniting with Nero and co-founding the land of New Jenova, Hirudo went off for private training and eventually ran into Madara Uchiha. Not knowing the legendary shinobi's true identity, Hirudo was fooled into helping him gather forces for a new Akatsuki, since the Uchiha could sense Hirudo's pent-up aggression toward his brother. Madara, and an Akatsuki puppet master known as Kane soon influenced Hirudo into joining their regime, clouding his judgement and shaping his character into one built toward vengeance. Unaware of the influence toward killing his brother, Hirudo's true intentions were buried in his psyche until he and Nero arrived in Konoha. Madara sought the opportunity to capture the Nine-Tails and awakened Hirudo's murderous intent, forcing him to turn on his own brother. However, through the combined efforts of Nero and Lee Hatake, Hirudo was defeated. With his dying breath, he disclosed the identity of his master to Lee. This is Hirudo's Akatsuki design. Later on in the story, it is revealed that Nero and Hirudo's mother possessed a high Spiritual Pressure. Although Nero's abilities are purely Saiyan, Hirudo, upon his mortal death, awakened his innate Spiritual Pressure and thus, obtained the abilities of a Soul Reaper. His resurrection is planned, but he currently doesn't have a role in the Naruto/Brawl Legends story arc in The Crossover Game.

Row 5:
1. The Fallen (Android X): In the original draft, this guy was the Transformer of the same name, crash-landed on Earth and reprogrammed by Dr. Gero into an Android. In the purely-Naruto reboot, he'll be an ancient, Kaguya-esque deity that is revived during the story. However, in the current retcon, The Fallen is still an android designed by Dr. Gero, although now it is a creature that was created entirely by Dr. Gero, with no ties to the Transformers. The Fallen is dubbed Android X by Dr. Gero, and was intended to be his ultimate weapon, even more powerful than Cell. The trick with Android X was that it was an organic creation, much like Cell. After being resurrected during the Fourth Great Ninja War by Kabuto Yakushi, Gero allied himself with Obito and studied the Gedo Mazou statue, which hosted several Tailed Beasts. He was also intrigued by the creation known as Mecha-Naruto. An obscure, amateurish attempt to replicate his own Androids, Gero wasn't impressed with Mecha-Naruto at first. However, following the robot's self-destruction, Gero managed to rebuild its body and reprogram the KYUBI Mode CPU in its processors. Taking extra power from the Tailed Beasts in captivity, Gero designed his new Android to be a highly adaptive killing machine, no pun intended. In addition to the Tailed Beast chakra, Gero added DNA samples from the other resurrected Dragon Ball universe villains, including Broly, Hatchiyack, and the newly resurrected Majin Buu. The creation soon evolved to the point of being able to mimic abilities through observation. The creation became too powerful to use in battle, so Gero had it shut down until he could control it, much like pretty much each and every one of his previous Androids. In the prime timeline, Android X is destroyed by Fallen Lee after traveling into the past to correct the mistakes of the future. However, in the original timeline, the Fallen Android rose to power and ended up not only killing all of Lee Hatake's allies, but left Earth a barren rock baptized in fire and brimstone. He was eventually killed by the original Lee through the efforts of absorbing the abilities of his fallen friends, although the destruction he left in his wake led Lee to travel back in time to prevent the apocalyptic future he had witnessed.
2. Draco Tenshi: A former Soul Reaper, Tenshi framed Isshin Kurosaki for murder and eventually managed to kill Ichigo Kurosaki. Sparing the life of Jon Kurosaki at a whim, he was later recruited by Madara Uchiha to join his New Akatsuki, surprised that Kurosaki was not only still alive, but took up residence in a shinobi village. His Zanpakuto is a scythe, and he routinely calls on his Hollowfication abilities (hence the face mask). He currently has no role in the crossover since he was defeated several years prior.
3. Raiden: One of two brothers, Raiden is a lightning nature shinobi obsessed with Visual Jutsu. He took an interest in Visual Jutsu after clashing with the Fallen Lee in the past, observing the abilities of his Sharingan. Since then, he made it his life mission to acquire all forms of Visual Jutsu, starting with a left Byagukan eye he stole from an unnamed Hyuga shinobi. He eventually obtained Fallen Lee's right Sharingan after the future warrior's demise, but later assumed that the Rinnegan was nothing but a myth, having never seen it in action. With the combined power of his newly dubbed "Shakugan", Raiden believed himself to be invincible, and joined Madara's New Akatsuki alongside his brother, Kane, at the promise of obtaining Madara's Sharingan for himself. Like Tenshi, he was defeated before the The Crossover Game began.
4. Kane: A rogue puppet master and the older brother of Raiden, Kane studied the puppetry displayed by Sasori of the Hidden Sand village. He soon developed his own puppet armor and a mechanical spine that he used for close-quartered melee. He also developed a special serum designed to affect an individual's mind, bringing out their inner desires or ambitions. This serum was used to brainwash Hirudo Crescent into acting on his ambition to avenge his mother's death by killing Nero. Once again, Kane, like Tenshi and Raiden, was defeated before The Crossover Game begins.

Last Row:
1. Menma Namikaze: The Brawl Legends version of Menma turns out to be an alternate universe counterpart to Naruto Uzumaki. Rather than both of his parents dying, Kushina died during childbirth. Obito had never attacked Konoha, and Fugaku Uchiha betrayed and murdered Minato. Itachi killed Fugaku to avenge Minato, but Menma and Sasuke arrived after the fact, and assumed that Itachi simply slaughtered his clan and Minato in cold blood, vowing to kill him in revenge. Several years later, Menma routinely leaves the village to train under Jiraiya and search for Itachi, while Sasuke stays in Konoha. Menma eventually runs into Itachi and releases the power of the Nine-Tails, breaking through Itachi's Susano'o and pushing him to his limit, killing him. After killing Itachi and losing his arm in the crossfire, Menma attempted to return to Konoha, but was soon captured by Sasori and Kabuto Yakushi. Kabuto, taking the role of Orochimaru in this universe, begins experimenting on Menma. He restores his lost limb with DNA stolen from Hashirama Senju, and injects DNA extracted from Obito into him, turning his hair black and making his body compatible with a Sharingan. During a massive universal event, a portal opened and dragged Menma from his world into the prime Brawl Legends universe. It was there that he was taken in by Madara, where he was convinced that the world he lived in was a lie, and was corrupted in the same way that Obito had been corrupted before, becoming Madara's new pawn. He was given Madara's left Rinnegan and the right one had been destroyed and was trusted in carrying out Project Tsuki No Me. After the death of Madara, Menma arrived in Konoha to avenge him by killing Kakashi and Naruto to lure out Lee Hatake. After riling up the Eighth Hokage, Menma began his quest to capture the Tailed Beasts, eventually capturing all but Shukaku, one of the two Tailed Beasts residing in Konoha. Since he was the host to his own Nine-Tailed Fox, Menma had no intention of taking the one sealed inside of Naruto's son.
2-3. Menma (Ten-Tails' Jinchuriki): Menma eventually succeeds in gathering all nine Tailed Beasts and becomes the Ten-Tails Jinchuriki. His design in Soulcalbibur is a combination of Obito Uchiha's Ten-Tails form, Madara-'s Ten-Tails form, and Naruto Uzumaki's Nine-Tails Chakra Mode. The first picture is the Ten-Tailed Menma's overall design. The second picture shows him with the Rinne Sharingan embedded into his forehead after removing the headpiece that Madara wears in his Ten-Tails form.
4. Ichiro Kurosaki: Not to be confused with IchiGO Kurosaki, IchiRO is the son of Jon and Akari. He has inherited the ability to use Spiritual pressure from his parents, however, he is not shown to possess any shinigami abilities. Instead, he focuses on learning to use chakra, and becomes a ninja like his friend, Jin Hatake.

Never thought you're actually a NaruSaku fan.. btw I like your Minato design better than that "gay-looking" Shinachiku. :)
